Sketching has the ability to affect a person’s viewpoint. A landscape can visually take on one characteristic, but the moment an artist starts to draw that landscape, he sees it in a whole different way. This is because sketching causes a person to analyze the space, explore shadows, and understand the interactions between nature and occupants.
